SOUTHERN SIERRA CLASSIC
SEPT 1-4, 2023
Kern River Valley, CA
WHAT IS THE SOUTHERN SIERRA CLASSIC?
The SSC is a vintage motorcycle rally set in the southern tip of the Sierra Nevada Mountains held over the Labor Day weekend. Home base is the south side of Lake Isabella. The road loops explore rare & picturesque roads on the western side of the Sierras, reaching as far north as the Trail of 100 Giants. Each day will consist of a loop of 150 miles of paved road. But the roads are not the only treat at this rally…
Proper coffee & local donuts will be served every morning at 6am! Friday we will have a meet and greet at a local spot. The potluck will be open to anyone who wants to participate on Saturday, and the Sunday rally banquet will be held in the hotel’s saloon, their specialty being prime rib. Field games & happy hour will be held Saturday afternoon & a bike show & awards will keep us busy before dinner on Sunday. Lunch stops will be at unique country roadhouses, as charming as their food is good.
ELIGIBILITY
Eligible riding machines must be 40 years or older, meaning your bike must have been built in 1983 or earlier…no exceptions. There will not be a chase truck on this ride, so make sure your bike is road worthy and that your roadside assistance is up to date. Over half of the routes will be in the middle of nowhere without cell coverage. Plan accordingly folks!
